greetings from the city of Groningen / groeten uit Eindhoven

Een meubelontwerper uit Groningen exposeert in Eindhoven. Een bestaand setje ansichtkaarten met afbeeldingen van zijn werk wordt gecompleteerd met twee nieuwe kaarten: Groeten uit Groningen, waarop aan de achterkant een gedrukte tekst in handschrift en Groeten uit Eindhoven, waarop aan de achterkant een gedrukte tekst in handschrift met de uitnodiging van de galerie. Het hele stapeltje is aan één lange zijde gelijmd, aan de andere zijde met een stickertje gesloten. Een dikke ansichtkaart Groeten uit Groningen blijkt een kleine catalogus en onthult de expositieplek: Groeten uit Eindhoven.

A furniture designer from the city of Groningen decides to exhibit his work in the city of Eindhoven. In this context an existing set of postcards with his portfolio images is complemented with two new postcards: Groeten uit Groningen* (with a printed text in handwriting on its flip side) and Groeten uit Eindhoven* (with the gallery’s invitation in printed handwriting on its flip side). The whole stack of postcards is glued together along one of the postcard’s long edges, on the opposite side the stack is sealed with a sticker. Thus this seeming thick postcard – reading Groeten uit Groningen* – turns out to be a small catalogue, revealing where the exhibition is held: Groeten uit Eindhoven*.
