Je kunt een boek in één keer uitgeven, maar het kan ook in fragmenten. Dit zijn de eerste twee katerns van een Onix boek, uitgegeven ter gelegenheid van de opening van het door hen vormgegeven interieur van het CBK Groningen. Genaaid en in de rug gelijmd. Twee versies, schoongesneden en niet schoongesneden, de laatste moet je zelf opensnijden, alsof je een gebouw betreedt. Het is bij dit eerste fragment gebleven, je kunt een boek ook niet uitgeven. De gesprekken over fragment twee heb ik gebundeld tot een boekje waarin die gesprekken letterlijk zijn weergegeven. Als een theatertekst, we zoeken er nog een gezelschap bij.

Most of the time a book is published in one go, but another option is to publish it in phases. Presented here are the first two sections of an Onix book published on the occasion of the opening of the interior of the CBK Groningen* which was designed by Onix. Sewn and glued in the spine. Two versions, trimmed and untrimmed, the latter needs to be to cut open, which symbolises the entering of a building. This publication was limited to this first fragment: not publishing the whole book is also an option. The talks held about the following second fragment were compiled in a booklet, providing a verbatim account of these conversations. They look like a theatre text, however, we are still looking for a theatre company to play this ‘piece’.

*A CBK (Dutch abbreviation of ‘Centrum Beeldende Kunst’ – Visual Arts Centre) is a Dutch semi-governmental organisation which promotes the visual arts. There are about 20 of these centres in the Netherlands, based in major cities (in this case in the city of Groningen).
