Wire – O, so that’s an option as well? | Wire – O, kan dat ook?

Er is geen geld en er is wel een jaarverslag… Het omslag vertelt al het hele verhaal: we zien een kartonnen omslag en een klein label waar de titel van het boekwerkje op staat. Dat is het pluspunt van de Wire-O binding; dat je verschillende paginaformaten eenvoudig in één boekje kunt verzamelen. Het binnenwerk is ontworpen en daarna uitgeprint. Dit tekstgedeelte is geïllustreerd door flyers van in dat jaar geprogrammeerde voorstellingen in de Wire-O mee te nemen. Ze leveren vaak (onbedoeld) commentaar! Gemaakt samen met Wim te Brake.

The Grand Theatre* once faced the fact that they had no money to spend, yet did have an annual report they needed published. The report’s minimalistic cover tells the whole story: just grey board and a small label containing the booklet’s title. That’s one of the great advantages of Wire-O binding: it’s really easy to bind multiple sized pages into one booklet.

After the inner pages were designed, they were just simply printed on a copier. This section of the text is illustrated by flyers of new Grand Theatre performances held in that year. Created in cooperation with fellow photographer and designer Wim te Brake.
